Johnny Mulherin

Johnny graduated from James Cook University, Townsville, in 2019, and has since built a dynamic and rewarding career in physiotherapy. Starting in private practice in Mackay, Johnny has honed his expertise in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy while providing tailored care for clients under the NDIS. His passion lies in helping clients achieve unique and ambitious goals, whether it’s returning to running, learning to kayak, or picking up fishing again – no matter how impossible those goals may seem.

In 2023, Johnny took on the role of clinical mentor and lead physiotherapist for the Solomon Islands Institute of Sport, supporting athletes in their preparation for the Pacific Games. This experience highlighted Johnny’s leadership and advanced clinical skills, enabling athletes to perform at their peak on the international stage.

Johnny is an Australian Strength and Conditioning Level 1 coach and is trained in Western Acupuncture and Dry Needling. His professional interests extend to occupational health, where he is dedicated to promoting injury prevention and helping individuals return to work and daily life with strength and confidence.

When he’s not working, Johnny enjoys rugby league, scuba diving, and gardening. Inspired by his favourite movie, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Johnny embraces exploration, resilience, and adventure – values that also inform his approach to physiotherapy.

Johnny is available for physiotherapy consults at Beenleigh Sports & Spinal.
