Georgia Christie
A career in Clinical Exercise Physiology seemed only natural for Georgia after competing at a high level of competitive tennis during her schooling years. While studying at the Queensland University of Technology, Georgia has gained years of experience working in a private multidisciplinary practice to help advance her knowledge and understanding of various acute and chronic conditions. She graduated with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology with Distinction at QUT.
Georgia’s personal experience with exercise extends to long-distance running, triathlons, and strength training, and she is very passionate about helping clients improve their athletic performance in these domains. She also has a developing clinical interest in neurological, cardiovascular, and metabolic conditions. Given that Georgia lives with Type 1 Diabetes herself, she understands how frustrating and complex living with a chronic condition can be. She not only prides herself on being able to relate with her clients who also live with chronic conditions, but also her rapport building and effective communication.
Georgia is passionate about helping her clients address their primary concerns, and subsequently, work effectively as a team to achieve their desired outcomes by prioritising long-term health and wellbeing. Outside of the clinic, Georgia participates in long-distance running events and enjoys camping, hiking, fabulous coffee, spending time with her dogs, and supports the Brisbane Lions in the AFL.
Georgia is available for exercise physiology consults at our Mt Gravatt and Woolloongabba clinics.
