Cara Niven

Cara completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the Australian Catholic University in Brisbane. Since leaving university, she has gained experience in many areas of physiotherapy, including musculoskeletal, chronic pain, pilates, orthopaedics, cardiorespiratory and neurological rehabilitation.

Cara has also undergone further study for the treatment of Lymphoedema and is a qualified Australasian Lymphology Accredited Lymphoedema Practitioner. She is qualified to treat Lymphoedema in the upper and lower limbs, breasts, genitals, trunk, abdomen, and paediatrics. Her treatment involves manual lymphatic drainage, compression therapy, exercise prescription, and education. Cara can also treat and prescribe garments for other conditions such as chronic venous insufficiency and Lymphoedema. 

Cara decided she wanted a career in physiotherapy at a very young age. As an avid soccer player, her interest was sparked by the care and support she herself received from physiotherapists for injuries she sustained on the soccer field. Cara understands what it is like to have an injury and knows how it can affect an individual physically, socially, and emotionally. Therefore, you can be reassured that she will have your best interests at the forefront of her care. Together you will smash goals and return to what you love doing. 

Outside of work, you can find Cara playing soccer and drinking coffee.
