Your initial consultation will involve a thorough assessment, development of a rehabilitation plan and implementation of selected treatment techniques individualised to meet your body’s needs.
We will aim to alleviate any pain from the first session. Your progress will be regularly checked throughout the recommended rehabilitation period to ensure progress is being made. A typical program will run for 6-12 weeks but will vary depending on your condition and goals.
A referral is not required unless you are seeking treatment through Workcover, are a Veteran’s Affairs patient, or seeing us through Medicare via the EPC program. However, we liaise closely with your medical practitioner to ensure the best possible outcome.
Yes. Most private health funds pay a rebate for each allied health consult you complete. Please bring your health fund card to the consult as we use HICAPS to arrange direct funds transfer of your rebate, saving you a trip to the health fund. Some funds also pay a rebate for massage, orthotics, and acupuncture but be sure to check your fund for the amount of cover and the services covered.
Yes, you can claim for our service range if you have the relevant extras cover on your private health insurance. We have HICAPS facilities on site, so all you will need to pay is the “gap” fee which will vary depending upon your health insurance company and level of cover. Please ensure you bring your health fund card with you. We also provide credit card and EFTPOS facilities.
Your clinician will ensure that you are provided with a detailed home exercise program where appropriate, which is tailored to suit your individual needs with detailed photographs and instructions. You will be advised on posture corrections and corrections of faulty movement patterns where appropriate.
We will offer a free reassessment and treatment with one of the senior partners, should you not be fully satisfied with your treatment (cases vary).
Car Parking is available at all Sports & Spinal clinics. Please contact your local clinic for specific parking information.
We do understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise that may lead to the cancellation of an appointment or class booking. However, if this happens, we ask that notice be given at least 24 hours in advance.
Sports & Spinal Cancellation Policy:
- If you cancel within 24 hours, a $50 charge will be added to your account and debited at your next appointment.
- If you cancel within 4 hours, the full fee charge will be added to your account and debited at your next appointment.
- If you cancel a class within 24 hours, a $10.00 fee will be added to your account and debited at your next appointment.
- If you cancel a class the day of, you will lose 1 class from your pack or be charged the full fee from the class, which will be added to your account and debited at your next appointment.
All patients will be given one warning of the cancellation policy.
This policy enables us to open and utilise cancelled appointments and better serve the needs of all patients.
