Alex Dopper

Physiotherapist

Alex’s personalised approach focuses on understanding each patient’s unique needs and goals, developing tailored treatment plans, and taking an active role in their recovery journey. He holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with first-class honours, was Dux of his course and received the Australian Physiotherapy Association Queensland Award for Academic Excellence. Alex also holds a Bachelor of Science (Psychology).

Alex offers a wealth of knowledge in running physiotherapy, specialising in the management and prevention of running-related injuries and optimising running technique. This stems from his own extensive background as a competitive ultramarathon runner, which fuels his dedication to helping runners of all abilities achieve their goals. Alex is also a certified golf physiotherapist with a TPI Medical Level 2 qualification, understanding the complex relationship between the body and the golf swing. He enjoys working with golfers of all levels on the Gold Coast, and his diagnostic tools and tailored training plans assist golfers presenting with pain, physical limitations, or goals for performance optimisation.

Aleks Baruksopulo

Podiatry Managing Partner

Aleks exclusively sees Musculoskeletal, Sports, Running & Exercise cases and has 18+ years of experience in this area with over 40,000 patient consultations performed over this time. His main professional passion is helping patients of all ages recover from injury and get back to the regular physical activity they love doing.

He has a particular interest and niche in running injuries, including authoring a book (available on Amazon & in-clinic) called: The Runner’s Foot Guide – Feet, Shoes, Myths & Tips.

Other experience includes previously owning a running shoe store called β€˜The Podiatry Shoe Lab’, completing the β€˜Lv2 Athletics Australia Recreational Running Coach’ accreditation, being a previous Podiatry clinical supervisor at Southern Cross University (Gold Coast campus), previous Podiatrist to GPS (β€œjeeps”) Rugby Union club, North Devils Rugby League club, and the Brisbane Roar Soccer club. He is a managing partner at β€˜Podiatry at Sports & Spinal’ whose main aim is to help our Podiatrists excel in providing outstanding Sports, Exercise, Running, and Musculoskeletal Podiatry care.

Aleks is skilled in Sports, Exercise & Running Podiatry care, gait analysis, biomechanics, running shoe education, strength & conditioning, return to running planning, close collaboration with medical professionals (GPs, Sports Physicians & Orthopaedic surgeons), EMS Shockwave Therapy and Class 4 Laser musculoskeletal treatments.

He has a Podiatry degree from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and a Biomedical Science degree from the University of Queensland (UQ).

Anna Rollo

Remedial Massage Therapist

Anna holds an Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy and with 15 years of experience in Remedial Therapy and Personal Training she is excited to integrate new techniques into her practice. She has worked in multidisciplinary clinics in Sydney and the Gold Coast and has developed a unique treatment style focused on meeting patients’ needs, addressing discomfort, and providing self-care plans. Passionate about craniosacral therapy, Anna has completed Upledger CST Levels 1 and 2 and believes it complements manual treatments, especially for headaches, migraines, and TMJ dysfunctions. She is committed to continuous learning, with plans for future studies in clinical myotherapy and Pilates.

Anna’s approach to treatment includes taking a comprehensive medical history, conducting assessments, and utilising various techniques such as dry needling, soft tissue release, MET, cupping, joint mobilisations, and prescribing corrective exercises. Her goal is to provide the best possible care to meet everyone’s health and well-being objectives. With a special interest in headaches and migraines, Anna strongly believes that prevention is the best cure, placing great emphasis on staying active and self-care.

Anna is a mother of two children with a European background who loves spending time in nature exploring new bushwalks as well as indulging in delicious foods and discovering new cafes and restaurants. She is an enthusiastic, passionate, and caring person. In her free time, Anna enjoys traveling, camping, relaxing by the seaside with family and friends, or getting lost in a good book. She also enjoys staying active through walking, cycling, yoga, Pilates, and basketball.

Mahlia Snowden

Exercise Physiologist

Mahlia is a passionate advocate for health and wellness, with an interest in neurological rehabilitation and women’s health. Hailing from the Northern Territory, Mahlia’s journey to her profession took her to the Gold Coast, where she pursued her Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology at Griffith University, graduating in 2023. It was here that she honed her skills and knowledge in understanding the intricacies of the human body and its functions.

With a strong desire to make a difference in people’s lives, Mahlia has previous experience working as a support worker, specifically with individuals facing spinal cord injuries. This hands-on experience has equipped her with invaluable insights into the challenges and triumphs of those navigating neurological conditions, fostering her dedication to improving their quality of life through exercise and rehabilitation.

Beyond her professional endeavours, she finds joy and fulfilment in the sport of rugby union, where she trains and plays actively. This passion for sport not only highlights her commitment to physical fitness but also reflects her resilience and team-oriented mindset, qualities that she brings to her work in the field of exercise physiology.

As she embarks on her journey in the field, Mahlia is excited to leverage her skills, knowledge, and experiences to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others, championing health, wellness, and inclusivity every step of the way.
