In 2022, she worked at the Nitro Circus World Games in Brisbane, preparing athletes for competition in scooter, BMX, FMX, and skateboarding events.
Most recently prior to joining the Sports and Spinal team, Katherine has worked with the physiotherapy students at the University of Queensland preparing them for their final year placements in the musculoskeletal physiotherapy simulation program.
Katherine has a keen interest in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy with particular areas of interest lying in knees and post-operative rehabilitation from orthopaedic surgery. As a former dancer and dance teacher herself, she is also interested in dance physiotherapy and injury prevention. Katherine firmly believes that exercise is medicine and is passionate about keeping you doing the things that you want to – whether at work or play.
Outside of work, Katherine enjoys spending her time at the beach, traveling, watching Rugby (Union), and is a self-proclaimed foodie. Katherine is new to the Sunshine Coast, having just moved up from Brisbane, and is looking forward to the lifestyle change!
